Russia is known for its intricately decorated wood products. This birch box was brought from Russia by one of our choir members. It is a wonderful display of skilled handiwork at carving and layering birch to form a beautiful geometric pattern. Note the burnt leaf art (pyrography) adorning the inside of the box. Think of all the treasure it could harbour.
